Aaloushi
Faour, 24, is an architect and artist born and raised in southern Lebanon, now based in Beirut. His practice cuts across architecture and art, focusing on space, memory, and place.
Illustration description: In 2024, when the war reached the south of Lebanon, my friend’s life abruptly paused. He left his home and moved in with me, displaced and uncertain. Work stopped, classes stopped—everything was suspended. Most days he sat on the balcony with coffee and cigarettes, scrolling through the news. This work reflects that quiet, suspended time of waiting, displacement, and the fragile routines that remain when everything else is on hold.
The illustration is sold in a limited edition of 20, in A4 format (21.0 × 29.7 cm).
Printed on enhanced matte paper: natural white paper/200gm/smooth texture/matte finish/giclée fine art print.
