Aude Abou Nasr

from $70.00

The Land Remembers

Aude Abou Nasr is a French-Lebanese illustrator and animator working on counter-narratives of place, memory, and state violence through mapping and visual archives.

Illustration description: Originally commissioned by Collective for Architecture Lebanon for the Lebanese Pavilion of the Venice Architecture Biennale, this interpretive map documents endangered species and destroyed heritage in South Lebanon under Israeli assault. Overlaid on the geography of Jnoub, it maps native plants, herbs, and animals threatened by military violence alongside damaged architectural and archaeological sites, creating a visual record of ecological and cultural destruction grounded in place and insisting on the geographic specificity of what is now once again at risk.

Printed on enhanced matte paper: natural white paper/200gm/smooth texture/matte finish/giclée fine art print.
