Tracy Chahwan is a U.S.-based illustrator from Lebanon. She began her career creating posters for music venues and publishing comics with the collective Samandal. Her clients include The Breeders, Rachid Taha, The New Yorker and The Beirut Groove Collective. Her practice centers collaboration and community across the places she has lived.
Illustration description: This print is extracted from Tracy’s first book, “Beirut Bloody Beirut”, in the final scene that leaves us unsure about the future of the characters. She later decided to colour it and print it as a tribute to the streets of the capital.
Printed on enhanced matte paper: natural white paper/200gm/smooth texture/matte finish/giclée fine art print.
